Robert (Bob) Liska, 69, of Sparta, Wisconsin, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024, at the Onalaska Care Center after a brief battle with cancer.
Bob was born on April 30, 1954, in Richland Center, Wisconsin, the son of the late Gaylord and Marcella (Shields) Liska. He grew up in the Hillsboro area and graduated high school there. Bob worked his entire career as an auto technician master mechanic for Ray Hudson La Crosse, Brenengen Chevrolet West Salem, and Vandermeer in Tomah. He lived in Rockland, Wisconsin where he served on the Village Board and was Chief of the Rockland Fire Department for many years. Bob loved hunting, fishing, good cooking, and most of all his family.
He will be missed by those he left here on Earth, his loving wife of 33 years, Susan, his daughters Michelle (Joel) Dowling, Beth (Brandon) Feist, Nicole (Jason) Mueller, five grandchildren, Abigail Mueller, Ethan Mueller, Jaiden Dowling, Bennet Feist, and Brielle Feist. Two sisters Irene (Conrad) Benish and Donna (Dale) Quamme and many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, his father-in-law and a multitude of wonderful friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; Gaylord and Marcella (Shields) Liska and mother in-law Nancy Harbaugh.
