Libby Eleanor Hembd, age 41, of West Salem, Wisconsin, left this earth peacefully on March 26, 2023, in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, after succumbing to her injuries caused by an unfortunate car accident. Libby was born on April 24, 1981, in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, to Bryon Hembd Sr. and Lillian DeVone.
Libby was a colorful person from head to toe. She loved fun hair colors and had many bright tattoos covering her body. She had an infectious laugh, a smile you couldn’t forget, and she was loved by many people she met along her path. An optimist till her very last moments, anyone who knew her would attest to her friendliness, open arms, zero judgment attitude, and unwavering loyalty to those she held dear. She enjoyed spending time with friends and indulging in pop culture, movies, and music. Libby’s most recent job was at the Orange Pearl Salon & Spa in LaCrosse as a hairstylist, but her favorite thing she ever did was her most recent position as a stay-at-home mother to her three younger children. Libby lived for her kids and dedicated her time, home, and love to them.
Libby is preceded in death by her stepmother Jennifer Swingle, grandfather Robert Hembd, and grandmother Jacqueline Steifel.
