Obituary for Charles Braunschweig Sr.

Charles “Chief” E. Braunschweig Sr 77 passed away at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI on Wednesday, January 22, 2020.
He was born in Cass Lake MN to Verna (Goodwin) & Ernst Braunschweig in 1942. He was a member of the White Earth Indian Reservation of The Ojibwa Tribe. He was a Vietnam Vet who served in Germany. Chief is preceded in death by his late first wife and son, Sheila (Braunschweig) Williams and Charles E. Braunschweig Jr. surviving is daughter Tracy Braunschweig, also preceding in death by his late second wife Phyllis Braunschweig) Simplot, surviving are two daughters Ruth (Michael) Cornellier-Northern and Jolene (Anthony) Cornellier-Hendrickson and Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Chief loved people of all kinds. He was a very social man. He had several special friends he held close and dear to his heart. He loved going out in the community. He had a great sense of humor and needed to make people laugh. He loved playing pool. He enjoyed sitting with his friends. He spent a great majority of his time making sure everyone around him was okay. There was never a place Chief couldn’t go without a smile.
